HEALTH & WELLBEING
Healthy Being considers the links between environmental change and emerging health impacts world-wide. There is a sense of urgency and a need to act together to bring about system change to protect our environment and the future of all living things. This involves local grassroots communities creating partnership with professionals in the NHS, Social Services and other statutory bodies for a healthier, more equitable society.
The aim is to develop Community hubs where diverse focus groups can come together and develop initiatives that seek to engage all local residents. A priority is to support vulnerable or isolated local people who might face food/ fuel poverty, debt, anxiety or loneliness.
A hub begins with creative collaborative thinking, which links health and well-being with locally sourced nutritious seasonal food offered in an environment of kindness, friendship and inclusion.
